Wells House Tour

Visitors to Wells House and Gardens are encouraged to take a guided tour of this magnificent building, standing for over 350 years Wells boasts a storied history encompassing Cromwell, Rebellions and the Famine with an emphasis on the everyday lives of not just the families who lived in the estate but also their famed architect Daniel Robertson as well as their tenants and workers giving visitors a unique insight into the life of previous generations.

The tour of Wells proceeds through the ground floor of the house, taking in the traditional visitor areas including the spectacular Versailles drawing room, Lady Frances writing room, the Library and the spectacular Robertson designed stairwell and dining room. Wells aims to be a living house tour, we have no do not touch signs and guests are encouraged to take a seat, and examine objects in the house throughout the tour as well ask any questions they may have.

  • Costs: €5 per adult, €2 for children over four (family, senior, student and group rates available). Tours run at 12, 2 & 3pm daily
On Sunday the 15th of September at there will be no house tour, apologies
