Roll up, roll up, for a family fun weekend of events in the beautiful grounds of Wells House and Gardens. Wells House and Gardens partners with Wexford Arts Centre to deliver a weekend of vibrant fun and creative activities for all ages to enjoy on Saturday and Sunday 13th  and 14th  August, 2016. Gates open 10am and family friendly events run between 12 to 6pm. Entry fee just €8 per car, making it one of the most inexpensive summer festivals around.

The two- day schedule of activities include opportunities for children to make their own beautiful pinwheel in the Little Artist Workshops to take home and delight in watching it spin.  A highlight of the weekend will be a show with the very quirky Professor Plunger who you may also bump into as he cycles around on his Penny Farthing.  The Professor who has travelled all over the world from China to Mumbai is ready to show off his greatest invention; his amazing hair! An inventive and original show featuring dancing, hair, plungers and a bell-playing finale. Red Moon Puppet theatre will also provide interactive entertainment for children in the form of their hugely popular puppet shows. More children’s entertainment comes in the form of Story Telling with favourite children’s fairy tales and adding to the festival feel will be face painting.
Also included in our festive events, harp music from Kate McKenna, frolics with Buí Bolg characters and enjoy extracts from Shakespeare in the woodlands from Arena productions.  Music by Donna Marie, Wexford based country singer, who has supported artists such as Davey Arthur & The Fureys, Brian Kennedy and The Saw Doctors and the headline act, the wonderful Corner Boy who have featured on many national and international stages, their music blends together traditional Irish instruments and folk progressions with contemporary musical themes and have developed quite a following on the music scene. Enjoy food from the Wells House and Gardens barbecue, dine in their restaurant named after the cook in the house Mrs Stone or bring your own picnic to enjoy on the lawn.
The award winning Wells House and Gardens is the perfect backdrop for this family friendly event where families of all generations can enjoy all that is on offer including enchanted woodland walks, a craft courtyard, house tours, stunning gardens, designed by the renowned architect Daniel Robertson, meet new friends in the animal farm or try your hand at archery on our 3D course!

A bumper festival weekend for all the family to enjoy.  We look forward to seeing you there.
