Enjoy some splendid fresh spring air on Saturday 11th March and learn the skill of foraging in the stunning setting of the Wells estate enjoy a foraging day with Mary from Blackstairs Eco Trails for a fun foraging day!
The day includes:
11am: Meet and greet with coffee with the owner of Wells House Sabine Rosler and Mary from Blackstairs Eco Trails with an introduction to the day ahead and a brief outline on the ethics of foraging!
11.30am: An adventure through the Wells estate as we introduce names of plants, uses and rules relating to foraging
1.30pm Lunch served from the Wells restaurant Mrs Stones
2.30pm Cooking demonstration from the findings of the day, with hints and best methods of use and a talk on the history and folklore of the plants
4pm to 4.30pm End of day with recipe sheets and information sheets provided.
