Wells House is wonderfully located in the sunny south east, the picturesque village of Ballyedmund is only 1 km away. Kilmuckridge famous for its beach is 5 kms from Wells House. Wexford, Enniscorthy and Gorey are approximately 15 kms drive from Wells House.
Wells House is built in the Tudor – Gothic style, the house is approached by an impressive tree lined avenue which leads to the front of the house and the 2 courtyards. The old-time workshops and horse stables once situated in the courtyards have been converted into houses in keeping with their original style.
The house is a listed building of national importance and both the house and gardens once restored will be spectacular.
At present Wells House is a working farm and consists of 450 acres, 100 of which are woodland.
The project will be completed over a period of years and is envisaged as follows;
- Open a Craft and Artisan Village in the 2 courtyards. The grounds also contain extensive workshops and it is hoped to have a Blacksmiths, Pottery, Woodturning etc.
- Interactive woodland walks
- Open the ground floor of the house to the public.
- Playground and coffee shop
